The quality page summarizes the verdicts of episodes and recordings in the project, shows data health charts, and lists the checks that still fail or warn. Check it before you build a dataset version.
Who can do this (project roles): Viewer, Uploader, Reviewer, Editor and Owner can view. Owner, Editor and Reviewer can ignore a check or assign an issue.
Before you start
- Quality checks run on processed data. If nothing has been processed yet, upload recordings first.
Open Quality
In the sidebar, under the project, choose Quality.
Read the verdicts
The verdict next to Quality at the top of the page summarizes the project. It shows Fail when any episode or recording has a failing result, Warning when nothing fails but something warns, and Pass when everything that has run passed. Below it, the summary shows verdict counts for episodes and recordings, the number of recordings that are not anonymized or not segmented, and the last 30 days of uploads.
| Area | What it does |
|---|---|
| ① Header verdict | Shows the overall verdict: Pass, Warning or Fail. |
| ② Summary | Counts episodes and recordings by verdict, and shows what is not yet ready. |
| ③ Health | Charts the data shape: duration, frame rate, cameras, splits and more. |
An episode verdict means:
| Verdict | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pass | Every quality check that ran passed. |
| Warning | Some checks warn. The episode can still be used. |
| Fail | A quality check failed. The episode is left out of a version unless you include failing episodes. |
| Incomplete | Some checks did not finish, so the result is not final. |
| Not checked | No quality check has run for this episode yet. |
Each check in a version shows one of these statuses:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pass | The check passed. |
| Warning | The check found something to review. |
| Fail | The check failed. |
| Error | The check could not finish. |
| Not checked yet | The check has not run. |
| Does not apply | The check does not apply to this data. |
Find the failed recordings
When recordings failed during processing, the Issues section shows a card titled with the number of failed recordings, such as "2 recordings failed during processing". Choose Show failed recordings on that card to open those recordings. Open a recording to see which processing step failed and why. Under Issues, choose a check to open the episodes where it fails, and use the ⋯ menu at the end of the row to ignore the check or assign the issue to a member.
The Issues area sits below Health. It lists failing checks and recordings that failed during processing. This demo project has no failing checks, so the figure shows the empty state: only the failed-recordings card appears, and no check is listed.
What happens next
Failing episodes are left out of a dataset version by default. To clear a failing check, fix the recording, upload it again and let it process. Then check the verdicts here again.
Checks marked Blocking are set as blocking by the project quality rules. Change the rules on the Workflows page, in the quality rules section.
Troubleshooting
The issues list shows "No checks run yet"
No quality checks have run on this project yet. Failing checks are listed here once they run.
The issues list shows "No failing checks so far"
Part of the data has no check result yet. More issues may appear when those checks run.
I cannot ignore a check
Ignoring a check needs the quality edit permission (Owner, Editor or Reviewer). The reason must be between 1 and 500 characters.
