A project holds one kind of recording, robot or human, and everything built from it: workflow runs, episodes, dataset versions and models. Create one project per robot setup or data collection effort.
Who can do this: Owner, Admin.
Open New project
In the sidebar, open Projects, then choose New project at the top right.
Choose the recording kind
Pick what this project will hold. The kind decides which workflow processes uploads and which checks run.
| Option | Choose it when |
|---|---|
| ① Robot | Teleoperation, arms, grippers: the robot recorded ROS topics, MCAP or a LeRobot folder. |
| ② Human | First-person human demonstrations from a head-mounted camera rig. |
Choose who can open it
Private projects are open only to people you add. Team projects can be opened by everyone on the team.
Name the project
| Field | What to enter | Example |
|---|---|---|
| ① Project name | A name your team will recognize. | Tabletop Pick & Place |
| ② Description | What the recordings show. | Dual-arm TRON2 teleoperation, tabletop pick and place |
| ③ Robot type | Optional. The robot or rig that produced the recordings. | TRON2 |
| ④ Default task | Optional. What the robot does in these recordings. An upload can name its own task. | pour beans |
Choose Create
Choose Create at the bottom of the form. The project opens on its upload page.
What happens next
Each folder or group of files you upload becomes one recording. The project workflow then checks and processes it.
